Custom software for your operation
Systems designed around how your company actually works — not around what an off-the-shelf product assumes it should do.
When off-the-shelf software stops fitting
Every ready-made system imposes a way of working. That is fine while your process looks like everyone else’s, and it becomes a problem the day your competitive edge is exactly what the system will not let you do.
The symptom is always the same: the operation keeps running, but surrounded by side spreadsheets, fields used for the wrong thing, manual exports, and one employee who is the only person who knows where everything is. Custom software pulls those patches back into a single system.
What we usually build
- Management systems for one specific process: orders, production, logistics, service, field work
- Portals for customers, suppliers and sales reps
- Back-offices that replace shared spreadsheets
- Integrations between the ERP, the online store, finance and whatever else needs to talk
- Documented, versioned APIs so the next system connects without a workaround
- Modernisation of old systems that still hold the operation up
How a project runs
It starts with discovery: workshops with the people who do the work, a map of the real process, and a definition of what success looks like in numbers. Scope, architecture and estimate come out of that.
Then two-week sprints with a demo at the end of each one. Every increment goes through code review and the automated pipeline. You see what is finished without waiting for the final delivery to find out whether we understood correctly.
And the project does not end at launch: regression, performance, monitoring through the first days and an evolution roadmap with agreed response times.
Questions
- How much does a custom system cost?
- It depends on scope, and scope only becomes clear after discovery. Before that we can give an investment range, not a closed number — and we say when the problem is better solved by an off-the-shelf product than by a project.
- Does the company own the code?
- Yes. The code, the repositories and the documentation belong to the client and live in the client’s accounts from day one.
- Do you integrate with the ERP we already use?
- Yes — in practice that is most of the work. We integrate through an API when the ERP offers one, and through the database, files or queues when it does not.
